Got these for my pair of 719s because there was only size 9 in stock. The 719s ended up fitting perfectly, so I didn’t end up needing these for them. I bought a pair of AR8s a year ago that ended up being too lose to wear. Even though these are for a different last they fit inside the AR8s.

Like some other posts said, these are mainly made of soft squishy rubber (it does say lined, so that’s what you should expect). They are comfortable and saved me a trip to a local place. Definitely worth a consideration if you’re in the market for foot-beds. They’re the same price as my local places and are made with real leather. My money going to a smaller operation is a plus for me too; your mileage may vary.

If you have medical reasons for foot-beds, just go with your doctor’s recommendation. Otherwise these are good and not made out of cardboard.

I bought these insoles for a brand new pair of size 8 Jim Greene AR Barefoot Boots and weigh 200 lb. I didn’t realize they were for a totally different last, but oh well. Once cut to size, the insole actually sits very snuggly in the heel and middle-foot area (in between the heel stiffener and the middle stitch on the side of the boot). A great aspect of the barefoot boot is its flexibility. With this insole it retained a ton of the flexibility, and the insole was just wide enough at the middle-foot (a little past the middle stitch towards the toe) and heel area that it cups your foot on the side. I can still feel every item underfoot with some support in those areas and the minimalist design ends up being a great balance between minimalist and support while using these insoles.

    ty Jim Greene!

p.s. please make these and other insoles easier to find on the website, because I had to google search them to get a direct link. The webpage UI in the U.S. shows them in the “Home/Store/Accessories/Leather Lined Footbeds – ASHM Last”, directory and the webpage url shows them as under “store/leather-footbeds-ash/”. Either way they don’t appear when clicking under Accessories or Store on the webpage.
