Made with our traditional construction methods and materials, the Rambler vellie is flexible, lightweight, and exceptionally wearable.

Simplicity done perfectly. These boots are more comfortable and more robust than the desert boots I’ve had in the past. The three eyelet lacing is spaced to hold the foot in place and reduce the amount of debris getting in. The leather is thick but very supple, the soles are an excellent match of flexible and silent but solid.
If you are scrambling over rocks with a 30 pound pack, you might consider the Razorbacks. For daily wear, walks, day hikes, etc. this boot is everything I need and nothing I don’t. Breathable, water resistant, quick drying, puncture resistant, lightweight, these boots can be repaired by any cobbler any where in the world but aren’t likely to need any repair for several years.
If you are comparing these to a well-known British brand made in Asia, these have a wider toe and laces that actually work. If you wouldn’t buy Cowboy boots made in China, why would you buy Vellies made in Vietnam? Making every part of the shoe in the country where it was developed makes sense to me. Making them exceptionally well in South Africa, Jim Green has another winner here.

I love these shoes. Day by day they get better and better. They do take some breaking in, but it goes pretty quick, and you can feel the fit improve as the day goes on. Light weight, super roomy for wide feet like mine. Super funky. Trying to decide on Rangers or Razorback for the next pair.

I’ve worn them everyday since I got them. They very comfortable and and feel very durable. I love the leather too. Looks excellent. They’re now my go to boot for everyday wear.

These are substantial velskoene, and it took me a day or two of wear to break them in. Now that they’re molded to my feet, though, they are my go-to shoe for everyday wear. I’m so impressed with these shoes that I’ve ordered a second pair, and I plan to pick up a pair of Razorbacks for a trip to Iceland next year.

Very comfortable out of the box. Very different feel than my razorbacks. The complaints about the insoles, while valid, can be alleviated by wearing thicker socks. I’m continually impressed by the value in this brand.
