We were after an option that can be worn with shorts for those casual Fridays and come the weekend worn with some chinos for your best friend’s wedding. We blended the standard upper of a chukka boot in with the low cut of a formal shoe and found the perfect balance between casual and smart. Our wide fitting lasts weren’t going to make the cut for that wedding you going to attend, so we added in our new standard width last to give you that touch of fashion you after. This is all topped off with our Oringo wedge sole which has quickly become a much sought after option.
Finally a footwear option where formal meets casual meets durability. The SHOELLIE.
- Manufactured with a single layer of 2.2mm Oily Nubuck leather.
- A steel shank between the insole board and sole offers extra support and stability.
- Thermoplastic toe puff and a heel stiffener for extra support.
- Midsole is secured to the upper with a double stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- Sole is made from a genuine soft rubber compound offering extra comfort.
- This boot can be re-soled.
- Last: ASHM – This is standard width (for those with wide feet or wearing thick socks we suggest going a half size up from your normal Jim Green size).
- Sole: OR (This sole is designed for a combination of grip, comfort, and speed. It is a genuine rubber and of a softer feel to provide comfort under foot).

I preordered these and got them in May. It’s been my go to shoe for everything. A little on the heavy side but you get great support and cushion. I wear these everyday from work to camping and even hike in them. Just ordered a new sole. Hopefully they make them in different colors one day, would love to have another pair but in black.

Where do I even start? Construction is fantastic. Thick leather with double stitching everywhere, yet they don’t look bulky. Super comfortable due to wide toe box and excellent insole material. The outsole is tough and has a great tread.
They look great with shorts or long pants, are versatile and can be work in a number of ways. After hiking a mountain and getting them soaked with rain, and having the toes get stepped on by cowboy boots at bars numerous times, and just wearing them daily over the summer they’ve held up extremely well and look great after some wear and tear.
They are on the heavier side due to the bomb-proof construction but unless you’re running a marathon in them then you’ll be fine. I will be wearing these for years to come.

Just literally received this on my front porch and was exited to receive it. I wanted to see what all the hype was. It’s no hype. It’s the real deal. Just an honestly great product. From upper to sole. Leather is thick but takes no time at all to break in. Rubber is real w/o any plasticy feel. Some people are concerned about the big logo on the back but honestly does not bother me. This was not intended to be a super formal shoe anyway. Last is nice, almondy but still wide and comfortable. Great job. I’m sold. Just 9 more and a ranger will get another free pair. Please support this company.

First pair of Jim Green footwear for me. Thank you Rose Anvil (you tube) for making me aware of this company. Size is about 1/4 larger than my normal size. But does not impact how good they feel. I’ve had these shoes for about 6 months and have worn them daily for work and pleasure. People that have not worn a pair of Jim Green’s may not believe me when I say I’d rather wear these shoes than my stand bye new balance shoes. Those who have worn Jim Green shoes will know though. I will absolutely be wearing and ordering more Jim Green shoes and boots. Thanks to all the people who work at Jim Green. They obviously take pride in work they do and the products they make.

Extremely pleased with this purchase. I wanted a quality leather chukka-style boot that I could wear to the office or work around the house in. I also needed a big toe box because I have wide feet. Jim Green fit the bill.
The leather was soft and supple. The quality of stitching was also so much better than those Asian-made chukkas.
These shoes also have a lot of support. After wearing them for a few days, I realized that I wasn’t as tired at the end of the day.
Do yourself a favor — throw your old Chukkas out and buy some Shoellies.

Just got my pair this week. They look great. Good thickness of leather. Needs a little breaking in but not much. More shaping to my foot than getting the leather softer.
These will definitely look great with some casual pants. I am new to this type of sole but so far it is comfortable to walk on.
If you like Jim Green shoes and boots, you will like these. They are not fancy with lots of bells and whistles. They are nice shoes that look to be built to last. I am very happy so far.
