Recently found out about Jim Green, and decided to try out two pairs so I could rotate, in two colors: Rough-out Chestnut and Rough-out Khaki.

One of my feet is just smaller than an US11, while my other foot is just larger than a US10.
I ordered size 11 but was concerned it might feel too long on my one smaller foot.
Thank goodness that’s not a problem!
I’ve already emailed customer service, asking if I ever custom order, if it’s possible to get two different sizes for my feet – they answered that it’s not a problem at all! So looking forward to eventually custom ordering a pair that will be a perfect fit.
Between the rough-out chestnut & khaki colors, I like the khaki better. The chestnut doesn’t show dirt as easy as the khaki, though the khaki doesn’t easily show dirt either. The chestnut is just better at hiding dirt. A week after trying these first two pairs, I went and purchased another pair: the rough-out Chocolate; which is my favorite color of these three rough-out colors. The chocolate gets the most compliments. Hopefully more vellie rough-out colors will get stocked in the US warehouse. Would love a rough-out/suede blue and also in black

Have worn these Vellies for 4-5 months now. This is a sturdy, comfortable, nice looking boot that you can wear to work in or for just hanging out. Good for light duty work. The soles have a supportive feel. Good toe and heel protection. Not heavy. Breathable. I wear these boots for work around the house and yard, and outside work when I’m moving boxes or furniture. I was concerned about the crepe rubber soles being slippery on wet or shiny floors, but they actually have decent traction. They are not exactly like slip-resistant soles, but I haven’t had a problem. Even worn them several times shoveling snow. Size note: the size 12 JG Shoellies I have fit me perfectly, so I asked JG customer support what size to get in the Vellie, and they said 11 1/2 because of the wider, rounder toe box. They were right, these Vellies fit perfectly.

I purchased my rambler vellie in June 2021 for $80 following a $8.90 discount. Since I have logged 800 miles in 28 months (yes, I am an engineer and thus anal retentive) in all kind of terrain … mostly on urban trekking (concrete and asphalt roads). These vellies have not missed a bit although I wish the sole was a bit softer. Thus i went in to use the 2023 Black Friday sale of $99 to purchase a new Rambler Vellie – Black but they were out of my size. Darn bad luck!
Regardless this as well as my African Ranger and Razorback are outstanding in value and I recommend them wholeheartedly.
PS: A pity it costs so much to resole in Miami Beach Florida, USA. It is cheaper to buy a new pair specially during a sale.

Looks great, feels great. My feet are a 10.5E, and I typically wear size 11 sneakers. A 10.5 in the Vellies was perfect for me. No pinched toes!

With the wider toe box a half size down worked great for me. Wore them at work on concrete and tile floors and out and about. Really I’m surprised at how comfortable they are. I could wear them all day without getting fatigued. More rugged looking but had numerous colleagues ask about and complement me on them. Definitely told them to check Jim Green out.
