The 719 Boot: An All-time Classic Heritage Boot.Â
The 719 is the result of a special collaboration and friendship between Jim Green Footwear and Carl Murawski, blending traditional craftsmanship with an all-time classic style. Carl was one of the very first individuals in the U.S. to experience the quality of Jim Green boots and has since been a loyal fan and friend.
Our Jim Green styling has always been a little different from the norm, and after a few good times together, it was a no-brainer for us to combine Carl’s love for a traditional, all-around good-looking boot with our Jim Green quality and story.
The 719 embodies everything that makes traditional 6-inch leather boots a staple in anyone’s footwear collection. Built with durability, functionality, and classic style in mind, this boot continues the service boot heritage of a rugged, versatile boot built for all occasions. Its full-grain leather upper, 360-degree Stitch Down construction, full leather midsole, and genuine rubber outsole ensure lasting comfort and performance in both casual settings and demanding environments.
Additional features include a genuine cap-toe design, brass-coated steel eyelets, a steel shank, and reinforced stitched leather uppers. It combines a heritage look with the uncompromising quality that Jim Green Footwear is known for. This collaboration doesn’t just honour the rich tradition of a service boot look—it redefines it with the added reliability and craftsmanship that Carl Murawski has championed, all while being offered at great value. Whether you’re tackling the outdoors or elevating your everyday style, the 719 is more than just a boot; it’s a statement of quality and dedication to craft.
- Manufactured with a double layer of leather (2.2mm full grain pull up leather, lined with 1.6mm calf leather).
- Double layer of leather aids in the boots’ water-resistant properties (not waterproof).
- Genuine leather Toe Cap
- Due to the double layer of leather, the 719 is built to last, making it an ideal boot for any occasion.
- 6-inch height for excellent support, comfort, and protection.
- Thermoplastic toe puff and a heel stiffener for extra support.
- A steel shank between the insole board and sole offers extra support and stability.

- Sole is made from genuine rubber.
- The leather midsole is secured to the upper with a full 360-degree double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- As with all our boots, these can be resoled due to their double stitch down construction.

Darius –
I love these boots. They’re very comfortable within the first week of wearing them with little break in time. I love the wide set feel. They’re grippy and rugged. Happy to wear them casually and even while hiking and working. I also find them very special and unique, a rare treat from South Africa. I look forward to bonding with these boots for years to come as well as becoming a repeat customer.
A++

I’ll preface this and say this is my first high quality boot ever purchased; therefore, my 5 stars is based on my overall satisfaction with the boot without comparison to other heritage style boots. My entire life I’ve bought throw away shoes thinking I was saving money. Most of those shoes lasted me only a year or two. How did I come to purchase the 719? I saw a pair of Redwing Iron Rangers at a bespoke store over Christmas, loved the look, and fell into the heritage boot rabbit hole after after Googling them for reviews. While doing my online research I came across a video with the Carl Murawski collaboration and then further into the Jim Green story. Having just visited South Africa in March of 2024, I made the plunge with the 719 in Bronco to support a company helping to address the desperate need for good employment opportunities in SA, as well as the collaboration with the rangers for wildlife management/preservation.
Given there were leftovers in my size from the December drop, to my surprise they arrived at my door in just a couple of days after ordering. I was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship and sturdiness of the boot, props to the JG designers and factory team. It’s probably the heaviest footwear I’ve ever had, that can be a positive and a negative, but I did not buy these for serious multi-day hiking. On first donning, they were a little snug at the instep and at the widest part of my foot with thicker winter socks on. I followed the size guide and purchased a size 10 US (I’m a 10E/EE on Brannock and foot length right between 10.5 and 10.75″). However, I can say that after 2+ weeks of 4-5 all-day wears they have broke in beautifully. It has become my favorite for daily wear. Therefore I would say that for me the fit is true to size. However, if you wish to use a cushioned insert, you should size up and perhaps JG could at some point update their sizing guidance to include how to size for additional insoles. For me, after the break-in, I no longer feel the need for additional cushion.
I love the Bronco leather and it should patina wonderfully. I’m thankful to work at a company that allows “dress for your day” attire so I have no problem wearing these in the office with a nice pair of jeans or chinos if I’m not meeting with business partners or executives. Bottom line, amazing boot I expect to last me for years, if not decades, at prices just above what I used to spend for disposable footwear. I’ve already purchased and received the Rugged African Trooper in the same size and am working on break-in. I’ll post a review of those as well in a few weeks.

This is an amazing boot, not only does it look fantastic, it breaks in fairly easy. The worse part on both boots was behind the toe cap. But after 2 days the leather seems to have soften up enough where I do not feel it. I have since ordered 2 more pairs of Jim Green boots. A custom pair of steel toe work boots that will go into production in February and a pair of AR8. I will say that I went a 1/2 size up on sizing and glad I did, seems to me to run a tad small. Keep it up yall, can’t wait for the moc toe sometime this year.

I just got the 719 boots and love them. I’ve been in the USMC for the past 8 years and have been constantly in and out of boots so I can say with confidence that these boots are meant to last past my lifetime.
[...]It been around 60-70 F where i am at in Japan and they great for this weather.
Once you get past the break-in process they are like a glove.
For the sizing, I went up 1/2 a size up as suggested and they are a perfect fit. The narrow last reminds me of my Danners Marine Expeditionary Boot but the 719 has more room for your toes.
The speed hooks make it so convenient to slip on and off they are turning into my daily pair.
The Branco brown is such a beautiful texturized leather that the pictures and videos don’t do it any justice you have to see them for yourself.
My only gripe is that i didn’t know there weren’t any insoles included i don’t know if it was just the ones I got but I slapped in a pair from my other boots and had no issues.
Overall 10/10 surpassed my expectations.
