- Manufactured with a double layer of leather (2.2mm Oily Nubuck leather, lined with 1.6mm calf leather).

Im happy to be the first review! I have been waiting on zero drop moc toe boots for a long time. I emailed Jim Green a few years ago to ask if they would do moc toes and they emailed me back saying they had moc toe boots in the works but they hadn’t announced them yet. They eventually said they were making these barefoot versions and I knew I had to get a pair and these don’t disappoint. I still have a bit more breaking in to ro but these boots are already forming nicely to my feet. The zero drop design feels good in my feet and my back.
The soles have a good amount of grip, even when wet though you get less ground feel than with the Anvil soles on the Barefoot African Rangers.
The pictures don’t quite do justice to the fudge nubuck, it looks really nice in person though I will likely oil them eventually for better water resistance as I did with my African Rangers which will change the color and texture of the leather but I have seen that the fudge nubuck takes on a lovely darker tone when oiled.
They fit me really well. I ordered a half size smaller than my ARs at first because they are just slightly too large (though I love them anyway) but ended ordering a pair the same size as my ARs as these are just a bit shorter. The with is excellent though so that’s a plus.
