Preordered in April because I was so excited. Everything is great about these boots except for ONE FLAW. The backing of the speed-hooks on the inner side of the your leg dig into your ankle bone. It’s very painful even just trying them on and could be avoided if JG adjusted the inner panel just a few millimeters. Not certain if I want to return them yet but something to consider strongly, since it might be very painful and I’m not sure how much a speed-hook can “break-in”.

I’ve purchased several pairs of Jim Greens and I’ve noticed several small differences between the cut and paneling between the left and right foot. The eyelets are no exception and will differ in placement slightly between boots. I usually welcome the nuance with Jim Green boots, but not in this case. It could just be my foot shape does not fit the nuances of this particular pair.
