The Barefoot Trooper Boot: Comfort Meets Rugged Durability

Introducing the new Barefoot Trooper boot, a collaboration between Jim Green Footwear and Rose Anvil. A newly designed boot that combines the natural movement and comfort of barefoot footwear with the added support, protection, and versatility needed for demanding outdoor activities. This collaboration not only brings together the history of Jim Green and knowledge of Rose Anvil but also the traditions of American and South African boot-making techniques.

The Barefoot African Trooper boot combines the natural comfort of barefoot-style footwear with the durability essential for everyday tasks in challenging environments. Its sturdy design and high ankle support provide necessary protection, while the flexible sole and spacious toe box allow your feet to move naturally and comfortably.

The flexible sole mimics the natural movement of your foot, providing a new level of comfort and freedom, while the thin soles improve the natural ground feel, giving you better traction and control. The spacious toe box ensures that your toes can spread out naturally, reducing discomfort and allowing for better stability.

Received my Barefoot African Trooper- Fudge last week and in the break-in period and they feel great. It’s a great light duty boot for wide feet that feel just like my White’s Boots on their 9338 last. Fit is true to size according to Brannock or your other PNW type boot size. Just remember to wear the thickest socks you wear with boots to get the most accurate Brannock size. Can’t wait for more leather types or for this model to show up in the Custom section, so i can order up another pair. Thank you Jim Green for freeing my 5th metatarsals!

Great boot. I’m pleased with the construction, quality, size, comfort. I still need to condition them before I get them outside too much, but I’m really happy with them. Color is consistent throughout and sizing is exactly as expected.

I’m loving my Troopers so far. Just took them off after 19 hours of wearing and over 12 miles of walking in sub-freezing New England temperatures. Best way to tell if a boot is good is if you forget you’re wearing them and these made me do just that. The outsoles on these are great, even on hard-packed snow and ice patches I was getting a decent grip. Funny enough, I was thinking a slip-on version of these would be great for when you don’t feel like lacing up a whole boot… turns out, they exist.

The right boot leather is poor quality very wrinkled it doesn’t match the left boot leather at all .I expected 240$ boots to have leather that matched , they are comfortable but I’m very disappointed in the difference of the leather quality between the right and left .again left boot is great right boot poor quality.
