LOVE AT FIRST STEP
[...]I first want to shout-out this company for listening to such a niche group of buyers when creating this product.
I know many of the people who were eyeing these up were under the assumption that they would still be unsatisfactory, but let me tell you, they are ROOMY. I work on hard surfaces all day and have used them for two days so far. They are an absolute game-changer. I was previously using some black leather Vivos and another pair of shoes from Xero, and these blow them out of the water. no longer will I be burning through $150 pairs of sneakers for them to disintegrate on my feet. These feel as rugged as they come and, while I’m used to VERY minimal shoes, I find these to be even more comfortable than any other minimalist shoe I’ve ever put in my feet. I would say that the last used for this is similar to Vivo, but better in that my big toe has more space. It is wide enough to accommodate my midfoot, but if you have Flintstone feet, ymmv. The padding around the ankle is a little stiff at the moment and causing a small bit of discomfort, but I’m sure a pair of boot socks will mitigate that until they are thoroughly broken in. I will be buying more of these and I really hope that Jim Green continues to make other models with this last. I would love an AnatomX Shoellie and Stockman. One thing I have to figure out, however, is how to cut inserts for these boots. I like just a wee bit of cushion and it’s nice to yank inserts out after a long day of work if my feet start sweating too much to let them air out. If Jim Green could POSSIBLY put even just a piece of paper inside that was cut to match the shape of the footbed, that would be very much appreciated. Thanks guys for making this product!
